After finishing her violin studies at the conservatory, Anneke Frankenberg specialised in South American and Eastern European folk music, including the Cuban charanga and Mexican mariachi. She plays in
Csókolom, a group of four string players who combine the music of Transsylvania with various elements including jazz. She performs in Europe, Australia, the USA, and South America, gives workshops, and is a teacher at Markant, House of Fine Arts, in Apeldoorn.
